Psalm 119
Verses 1-96
David composed this prominent psalm in alphabetical sequence-eight verses for each letter. Every verse contains one
of the following words (referring to different aspects of Torah): Way; Torah; Testimony; Precept; Commandment;
Statement (translated here as Word or Promise); Word; Judgement (or Laws); Righteousness; Statute. Replete with
morals and prayers, this psalm should be recited daily, as a powerful preparation for the service of Adonai. (In
verses beginning with one of the letters of the mnemonic PeReTZ BeN DaMaH, the word "עדותיך" is pronounced
"eidvotecha.")
